This year, Sentei-ya Sora carried out the annual garden maintenance at the wedding venue Yokkaichi Harbor Onoe Villa in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture.
Work Process
We began with manual weeding and fallen leaf cleaning. Nearly half a truckload of leaves was collected and disposed of.
, we performed pesticide spraying on the Ternstroemia (Mokkoku), applied herbicide around the entrance and enclosed spaces, and carefully treated other necessary areas as well.
Seasonal Highlights
Amid the work, we were greeted by the sight of hostas (Gibōshi) in bloom, their fresh purple flowers standing out against the cool greenery and bringing an early summer atmosphere to the garden.
That same day, a pair of Oriental Greenfinches (Kawarahiwa) appeared in
the Kosuge residence garden within the Onoe Villa grounds.
Male (left): Green-tinted head with striking yellow wings.
Female (right): Softer impression, with a grayish head.
The Oriental Greenfinch is a common resident bird in Japan, often seen even in urban areas mingling with sparrows.
